In this project we will study the solar energy , its methods and application and In india how it is being used , what are the advantages and disadvantages of using solar energy

Sun is the ultimate source for all forms of energy. Sun, which is over a hundred times larger than the Earth in size and is located at a distance of 150 million kilometer from the Earth.

• A sunray emitted from the Sun takes about 9 minutes to reach the Earth.
• Sun is a fusion reactor emitting 3,800 million, million, million, million watts of energy each second and the earth receives only 1/2,00,000,000,000 portion of this amount equal to 1.3 X 10^17 w/h. which is 20,000 times the energy requirement of the world.
• The temperature of the Sun at the centre is 15 million ⁰C and at the surface it is about 6000 ⁰K.

Solar energy, radiant light and heat from the sun, has been harnessed by humans since ancient times using a range of ever-evolving technologies. Solar radiation, along with secondary solar-powered resources such as wind and wave power, hydroelectricity and biomass, account for most of the available renewable energy on earth. Only a minuscule fraction of the available solar energy is used
